Paul Glaves wrote a very helpful bench wrenching article in the August 2005 issue of the BMW Owners News on the need for routine maintenance on K bike starter motors. I recently needed to perform maintenance on my K 75 starter and his article made it quite easy. Everything went as he outlined, even to his observation that having three hands to reinstall the brush assembly and rear cap is ...

I have a Rover 25TD which I'm doing the solenoid repair kit to. Where the f*$k is the second bolt??? I have removed the top one and have felt round underneath for other bolt and can't find it. Is it on the same face as the upper bolt? Is it the same size 19mm A/F bolt? Of course Haynes blithely says "remove the two bolts" and maybe I'm being a bit thick but please HELP

My 400 diesel has just started acting up when i try and start her up. But however only occurs at random intervals, I turn the key and all the dash lights radio and everything goes off. But if i rock the car in gear they come back on and she starts up. I put a brand new starter motor on in January.

Okay, past 2 days as I've gone to start her up, shes hesitated slightly before starting up, I'm presuming the starter motor. but before i replace it i just wanted to check with you guys if there's anything else that might be causing it. Just i don't have the money to be replacing parts that dont need doing! Only other option i thought would be not enough juice from the battery but it's not all ...

Re: Starter Motor Sounds like you'd be better to get it properly serviced and then see how it goes. As we often say "forget" to service the car and it WILL bite you. BTW, I mean a FULL service not a cheap oil and filter change. __________________ FIAT Forum Useful Links: Donate to FF  |  Buy FF Merchandise  |  Classifieds  |  FF Insurance  | ...
