Hi All 2008, CRDI EX-L Auto Dark Gray. 16" wheels (didn't like the 17" look!). 18,500klm Just a quick note to let people know about my new starter motor, under warranty as it was found to be faulty on the weekend. (thankfully not while we were out the other side of Perth!) All is good now. AND must say to date how impressed we are for 'bang for buck rating! Looking forward to completing the ...

Paul Glaves wrote a very helpful bench wrenching article in the August 2005 issue of the BMW Owners News on the need for routine maintenance on K bike starter motors. I recently needed to perform maintenance on my K 75 starter and his article made it quite easy. Everything went as he outlined, even to his observation that having three hands to reinstall the brush assembly and rear cap is ...

I have a Rover 25TD which I'm doing the solenoid repair kit to. Where the f*$k is the second bolt??? I have removed the top one and have felt round underneath for other bolt and can't find it. Is it on the same face as the upper bolt? Is it the same size 19mm A/F bolt? Of course Haynes blithely says "remove the two bolts" and maybe I'm being a bit thick but please HELP

My 400 diesel has just started acting up when i try and start her up. But however only occurs at random intervals, I turn the key and all the dash lights radio and everything goes off. But if i rock the car in gear they come back on and she starts up. I put a brand new starter motor on in January.

Okay, past 2 days as I've gone to start her up, shes hesitated slightly before starting up, I'm presuming the starter motor. but before i replace it i just wanted to check with you guys if there's anything else that might be causing it. Just i don't have the money to be replacing parts that dont need doing! Only other option i thought would be not enough juice from the battery but it's not all ...

I have a Chrysler 2001 300 M; Bought new. Recently when I turn the ignition key- it goes "click"; turn the second time- "click" and the third time it fires right up. Drove 1000 mile trip to Florida worked fine all the time.Recent 800 mile trip to North Carolina- worked fine; it seems to act up with I leave the car in the garage for 2 or 3 days. Yesterday, left it for about 2 hours and it acted up...

Changing starter motor on '96 Cherokee 4.0L A friend of mine who doesn't have the space or the tools to work on her car is coming over to my house tonight, and we're going to change the starter on her '96 Cherokee 4.0L. I've done a few starters before, but only on GM cars -- never on a Jeep 4.0L. Every starter I've ever changed...

I am selling a Hella Starter motor which I bought new for my 1969 Type 2 Bay Window VW 1600cc van, but never I fitted it as the one I thought was broken turned out to be fine. I have now sold the van, so no longer need the item. The part number is CS62-01 and it also fits post '67 Beetles. It is a remanufactured item that I bought from German Swedish and French. As said, it has not...

Re: Starter Motor Sounds like you'd be better to get it properly serviced and then see how it goes. As we often say "forget" to service the car and it WILL bite you. BTW, I mean a FULL service not a cheap oil and filter change. __________________ FIAT Forum Useful Links: Donate to FF | Buy FF Merchandise | Classifieds | FF Insurance | ...

Thanks for the advice once more. This forum and its users is proving to be invaluable. The long bold has the HT cable attached but I will probably cut it off if I cannot get it unbolted. 'amplifying gravity', very good, I started the day off with a laugh, thanks =)
