This started a few years ago after an anti-virus program removed some files. I think a legitimate file was erased and now the "Start" button's "Turn off" function will not work properly. I can easily shut off, etc by using CTRL + ALT + DELETE though. How can I restore my "Start"  button to normal? 1 person needs an answer I do too

I have a kenmore electric dryer model # 110.62974102 that has an issue with the start button process.  When you press the button it starts the dryer, but it will not keep running.  it will keep running and heat up if you hold the button in.  When you release the button the dryer stops.  I have removed the switch, but it appears ok, my suspicion is that there is a sensor somewhere that has failed....

So I picked up this stolen and stripped ap1 at a killer price from an auto auction and it is missing the ecu, the gauge cluster and the bezzle with start button. It has the keys and the ignition lock. If I hook up the battery, turn the key to on, is there a wire I can put 12V to and turn the engine over to make sure it isn't seized? I've been running Security Essentials for a few months now, and no complaints. However, I've noticed that after starting the PC (or after a reboot), clicking on the start button for the first time results in a 10 to 15 second delay before any menu choices are visible.
