On July 26, 2000, the US medical community received a titanic shock to the system, when one of its most respected and honored public-health experts, Dr. Barbara Starfield, revealed her findings on healthcare in America. The landmark Starfield study, Is US health really the best in the world?, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, came to the following ...

I've got a quick question about one of my favorite screensavers. Windows XP had a "starfield" screensaver which was essentially flying through white stars in space. I have googled many times and I cannot find an equivalent for mac. Can anyone suggest an equivalent? Thanks

As much as I enjoy KA, it's a game that was rushed into completion and its engine was grafted ontop of Starfleet Academy. Many bugs are present. The game is pretty much unplayable in Vista and Win 7. As for the flashing starfield problem, I've been told that if you turn the "Detailed Starfield" option off, it might help a bit, but it's by no means a guarantee. It's playable with WinXP and ...

With those open, any cargo facility inside would still need its own airwalls, which might well be solid vertical walls with solid vertical doors; once both sets of doors were open, one would again see an empty starfield....

Chapter Ten and the Epilogue is up. Merry Christmas to all, and the promised poll and other items will be up in a day or so. Thank you to all who have kept up with the story, and while there is not a lot of action, what you read here is important too. Enjoy! Chapter 10 Starbase 62 was a beautiful jewel in space. It was a small image of what the Federation intended to be ...

Hi Duane, I am having the widget rewritten, so much thanks for your suggestions. BTW, what I think I will do is have 1st hour and 12th hour be the buttons. Also: How the heck did you get the buttons to work on your real Chumby, if you were able to do so? I'd like to demo at some some of our Chumby GreenTyme Circadian Clock to friends now, rather than wait for the final everything works version...
