Has anyone here used standard pressure 45 Colt cast lead bullets for deer hunting? I have a Ruger New Vaquero (in addition to my Super Blackhawk) and I was wondering if using a standard pressure 45 Colt load (250gr, approx 900 fps) would be sufficient for mid sized game, particularly deer. Is this load adequate for deer or should I stick to the .44 mag loads only? Thanks in ...

In conversation with a Colt factory law enforcement "rep" I was told emphatically NOT to use +P ammunition in my Detective Special or Cobra revolvers because they WERE NOT DESIGNED FOR +P PRESSURES. Having seen handguns come apart while being shot I took him at his word. SO, the search was on for a viable standard pressure .38 Special defensive load. I found three that seemed viable, and shot...

I can't really tell any difference in recoil/flip between standard pressure and +P Gold Dot ammo. That kind of surprises me. Is it because I'm shooting it from a G26? Probably be more noticeable with a longer barrel? How about everyone else? If I handed you two magazines, one with each, and fired them, do you think you would be able to tell which is which?

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows of a 'British Standard' design, construction, examination and testing code for pressure piping, which might be or have been an equivalent of ASME B31.3. I'm looking at a high pressure piping system built by the british ICI 25 years ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated

We all know everyone loves the Speer GD 124gr P+. I cant find any of that around for a good price, but can get some 50rnd pakcs of the GD 124 gr STANDARD PRESSURE STUFF. This ammo will be headed for my SHTF stash so no huge rush not my immediate carry needs. Should I hold out and try to find the P+? Or is the standard pressure stuff more than good enough and I should jump on it now while I ...

I`ve just had new fuel rails, parallel setup, catch tank and AFPR fitted but noticed yesterday that the AFPR gauge was reading around 54PSI. From what I`ve read, this seems far too high. Please can someone confirm what the standard fuel pressure is for my car. I`ve read that it should be 3bar at idle with the vacume pipe disconnected ?? Many thanks....

yes pressure wise but you still need a regulator (after rail in return line) to put pressure at rail down to 3 bar.
