Hello I entered US as an F1 student. Worked on H1 for 4 years. Now i am back into F1. I just got my F1 status approved from INS. I need to get my F1 visa stamp. In William Judt's book called "Inspirational Relief Carving" he mentions that he uses Stamping Tools that he made that have a crosshatched pattern. I will be going for my H1 visa stamping in Mumbai. My company filed for My labor and I-140 and they are cleared. I now have the 3 yr extension which would be my 7th year to 9th year. Do you think this could be a problem with the consulate saying that I could be a potential immigrant??

I have a H1B extension valid from say 12/15/2009. My current H1 expires on 12/14/2009. Question: Can I leave the country and get new visa stamped before 12/15? I am fine if they issue me visa from 12/15 since I am anyway traveling back to US after that date but can I go for stamping interview on say 12/10 with a petition that has a start date of 12/15 to get my visa stamped?
