My late father-in-law made a gorgeous stained that picture that came to us. My husband and I love it. It is framed. I would like to hand it on my dining room wall, but it really needs to be lighted from behind. Any suggestions, tips, info on what to use to light it? Christmas tree lights? Rope lights? Undercabinet lights? Also, do I build it into a box frame? Has anyone done something like this...

I purchased this piece of stained glass for $3 today at the thrift store. It was a "deal" figured I'd analyze it later. So here it is. It's too feminine for my taste! lol So how should I change it? Do I take out the yellow roses and put in just vines? Could I add a more angular flower in a shade of rust to masculine it up some? What do you all see when you look at it? Does it have potential? I...

About 15 years ago, my wife bought womens night shirts at the now defunct Venture Departmentstores. They were white, soft, thin t-shirts with stained glass style floral type print on the front. Well after years of cooking and cleaning and sleeping, she finally had to toss her last one away. I have never found anything like them. They were very soft and quite thin, I think the size was 3X, ...

We just moved into our new house, which has stained concrete floors on the ground floor. We have discovered that all our area rugs slip and slide dangerously on this surface. My web research indicates that rubber based pads will harm the finish. Natural material pads seem like they would be just like the rugs - slippery. Any suggestions on what we can do before someone gets hurt? Thanks.

Stained glass lampshade can be used for a table lamp or a hanging light I bought this at an arts & crafts fair. I bought it from the man who made it for $40.00. At the time I lived in a house that had a large gameroom and it looked beautiful hanging from the ceiling over a pool table. Unfortunately I no longer have the gameroom or the house it was in, and it just doesn't go with ...

I recently had a new tile floor installed in my kitchen. The problem now is that there's no longer enough clearance between my side door and my new tile floor to have a doormat. It's not so bad in the summer but I'm dreading the winter! Both my tile and grout are light. Is there anything I can do to help prevent my grout from staining?
