Which ones, and for what hardware? All I've used so far is Prime95. Does that test both CPU AND memory, or just CPU?

So I'm doing some OCing of a Q9300 in a Gigabyte G45 matx board. And the board seems to be not having issues (besides the lack of Northbridge voltage options)... But I've been using IntelBurnTest v2.3 as I've heard it's probably the best for testing. And it's acting strangely... Sometimes it'll for no apparent reason take about 5x as long to do a run. The run will report as having no ...

I used to use ATI tool... but it seems it hasn't been udpated since '06 which is a real shame. It won't install correctly on windows 7 and all i've been able to do to test my stability is play crysis... alot I can't think of any other way to see if my video card's overclock is stable. Do you guys use any special software? I want this to be a bulletproof overclock... much in the way...

CPU Overclocking

Hello all! I recently managed to upgrade my q6600 to q9550. Wanted to get it to 4 GHz. done bit of fiddling and got it up and running with V 1.4. Now the issue is: Ran IntelBurn test 15 times - passes. Ran 3dmark 2006 and Vantage to ensure that graphics are working fine as well on such setup. So all have passed nice and dandy buut. My Pc froze when i tried to open Windows ...

I use Prime95 small FFT's first for CPU stability testing. I run that for 6+ hours. During the first half hour or so, I monitor my temps via HW Monitor to make sure nothing's too hot. If my CPU is Prime95 stable, then I move on to IntelBurnTest. This stresses your CPU quite a bit more and can be used to test the maximum load temps. You actually should probably use IBT before Prime95, since it...

I have used the Crucial Ballistix 800MHz DDR2 RAM for a good 3 years.. Have found it the easiest to get on with - stable, reliable and for the 4-4-4-12 timings, quite cheap. Its the only RAM I've had that actually works straight out the pack without having to set up the voltages etc myself.
