My Spry horizontal menu bar disappears behind the sidebar in IE 7 but not in IE 8 or Firefox. The site is http://www.knfcon.com The sidebar is relative positioned with float left. It contains an abosolute positioned image, since that was the only way I could get the image to fit snuggly into the top corner of the sidebar. Interestingly, even if the image is deleted the ...

I have a site set up which is basically a spry table in Dreamweaver CS4: http://www.ormskirkchristadelphians.org.uk/ One panel (the "meeting us" panel) has a list of data which is bigger than can seen on screen and so a scroll panel is used. How can I set up a print button/link so that a user can print out all the data in that particular panel? The normal Print option does not ...

I work with DW CS4 (Mac) and made my first website (www.franslemmens.com). Now I try to add a spry effect in order to get a ‘delay’ or ‘slowing down’ effect in the dropdown menu. I added to the menu: elements appear/hide and the effect: appear/fade (80/80%) The only nice thing in which I succeeded is to get a nice transparency behind the gallery dropdown submenu items. But I cannot...

Hi. This is my first post on Creative Cow! :) Here's my problem. I'm building a drop down menu with the spry widget in Dreamweaver. I've done this before without a lot of issues. I know that I've had to change things around to work in all browsers, but I've hit a wall. Internet explorer is getting caught on this line. items[i].getElementsByTagName('a')[0].tabIndex='-1 '; In ...

Happy Holidays, It seems every time I add something new to one of my pages with Dreamweaver CS4 I have a problem with it. I have now come to the conclusion: What I see is not always what I get. I have added a spry collapsible panel to one of my pages and have it uploaded to my site. It looks just fine on one computer but doesn't show up at all on another. When loading the page on the ...

I'm designing a website on CS3 with a spry menu bar with a semi-transparent gradient background (one of those one-pixel PNGs) behind the menu. As I preview it on Firefox (my usual browser) it looks pretty much normal. Unfortunately, as I preview it on Safari, the background and overlay background is invisible. I've tried clearing my cache on Safari, like someone else on the forums suggested, ...

My submenus in a spry widget vertical menu are not showing at all (when hover over menu item). I made sure the ul.MenuBarVertical ul style has margins of -5%, 0%, 0%, 95%. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Building a sliding spry element that creates the effect of a tab expanding upwards. Renders perfect in both Safari and Opera9, however in firefox the heading tag and subsequent that controls the effect are visible only for a brief second and the page loads then disappear from view all together. I turned off css styles in FF and was surprised to find that the 3 spry elements function ...

Hi all, I have a couple of questions. First, my spry nav bar doesn't look correct in IE 6 (works in all other IE, FF, Chrome, etc). The last menu item wraps below the others. If I adjust the width of the menu bar, the nav bar is not centered in the div. How can I fix this? Second, Due to the length of different menu items (e.g., "government" vs "home") the spacing between the items...

So I have been working on this site & it's already to go except that my spry menu's drop down submenus are not showing up in any browser. I am at a mexican stand off with DW right now. As of November 1st I was 204 lbs. I literally just stepped off the scale after a full day of eating at 183. My target weight is 178 but I'm feeling really good and spry at the moment. Happy with not only how I look at the results but the discipline involved in working towards a goal. Healthy living is very addictive once you get in the flow of it. Sort of like distance running. My secret? ...

Hi, I ran a compatibility and validation check which turned up one problem: "error parsing styles" at line 226 of code: filter:alpha(opacity:0.1) I dont know what this means or how to correct it. Could it be causing my spry menu bar to show up correctly in firefox but incorrectly in IE? It's supposed to be a horizontal spry menu but displays vertically in IE. Various forums have touched on ...

Richard, I was able to take the border off but now there's this green box around it. I looked in the code and I don't see any letter or numerical value for that particular color. Also, I've inserted a Horizontal Spry Menu. In Design mode, it's centered and I can see all four rows. When I upload it I can only see the last row? What's that about?? Thanks again. Anthony S.
