Here's one I picked up from the Reno gun show about six or seven months ago, the guy I bought it from claims it was rebuilt by Augusta Arsenal but never issued, has an 8-31 date on the barrel, either way it is in very good condition.

Hi guys, Down here there seems to be a good supply of surplus, unfired 1903's being offered.. The rifles are Remington and Smith Corona 1943/44 manufactured and "brandnew", unfired.. It handled one at a gunshow, and in fact it was brandnew.. It seems a very well manufactured rifle! I have no experience whatsoever with this rifle so I'm curious what you 1903 lovers can tell me about it! How...

I have acquired a Santa Fe 1903A3 complete receiver with bolt, trigger guard and floor plate. A friend has offered me a 1903 barrel which appears to have never been mounted on a receiver. They screw together nicely all but the last 1/8 of a turn. The bolt will not close so I am assuming that the barrel is short chambered. I suppose if I can get a stock and the furniture with it, I can at ...

FINALLY!!! I have wanted one of these babies for a long time now. I couldn't pass up the deal for this baby! Its a Springfield Armory rifle, and the serial dates it to March 1937. There is a 9-42 stamp on the barrel which I understand is a rebarrel date. There were 7 of these all lined up on the table, all for the same price. There was at least 1 A3 that I can remember with the different rear ...

I have a U.S. Springfield Armory 1903, Stamped 4032. Is this one of the earlier guns? And what is it's approximate value? It does not have the original stock, the gun is in fair to good condition. However the bolt does not cock anymore. I am considering whether to have the gun re-blued and possibly drilled to mount a scope. Is this a good idea or should I leave this gun alone other than to repair...

Friend that ordered one said they are built from parade rifles with new barrels and such. Quote: Originally Posted by paratroop i thought those were actually new production.

good looking gun. Some blueing wear. barrel internally is sharp. Is an aftermarket barrel. Has a Harris post front sight, but is missing the aperture for the rear sight. Stock is pretty nice, and has cheek comb. $350 Logan@midwestguntrader.com
