A friend is helping me re-cap my Thorens turntable and suggested that I use only Sprague or Frako manufactured capacitors for their quality and compatibility with the other parts. We tested the circuit board with Radio Shack brand (same uF / voltage), but he told me these caps would not last or be as close in tolerance as Sprague or Frako. Left side 7591's showing 20 on EICO 625 Meter. Right side 45. I did Phase 1 of the rebuild last night. ALL Lytics with the exception of the 4 and 5 section Multi's replaced. The Single Metal Caps were re-stuffed. ALL Suzuki PIO's replaced with Sprague Series 715 Orange Drops or standard DME Poly's where O.D.'s not avail. Diodes replaced with 1n4006's. 5 hours. PHEW!!!
