Hello there I've been searching for days now and I cant find a clear tutorial for creating hair in 3ds max (with the defult Hair & Fur modifier) specifically using splines :( The only tutorials can find focus on the modifier settings and animation... I just want to use spline to style - I hate this modifier! lol. Any links or points in the right dirction would be awesome? or maybe its...

I am using a '68 chevy truck steering column on my project car. I would like to run a different steering wheel. I snagged a '58 T-bird item, but the splines are different. What are my options? It also appears that there are a bunch of different options in steering wheel splines. Thanks in advance, Rod

Is it possible to have Modynamics objects interact with splines? For instance, a ball hitting into a stretched rubber band, so that the ball collides with the spline, the spline gives a bit and then bounces the ball back in the other direction?

Hi, Just wondered if anyone has a late MGTF steering wheel to hand. I've just received a brand new black leather replacement and noticed that the splines in the new steering wheel (those that mate with the splines on the column) are not triangular but slightly flattened off. I've looked at those of the original and they are triangular. Anyone know if the splines were flattened off in ...

Thought I broke a rear shaft this past weekend, but when i pulled it out it looked like this. I've been running these moser shafts for a few years, but I wasn't even really getting on it when this happened. You think the splines just weakened over time? I haven't opened the diff up to look at the carrier, but I'm assuming the carrier is probably ok since it was stronger and ground the splines ...

It was explained to me a few days ago about just why the splines need to be lubed on the clutch side. If the clutch hub was dry, wouldn't you feel the resistance of the clutch plates sliding on the input shaft all the way up to the clutch lever itself ? Would a very smooth operating clutch lever indicate that the clutch splines have at least a resonable amount of "Wet" lubricant on them? ...

My '05 GS with 72,000 miles let out a scream, literally, and left me on the side of the road with no connection to the rear wheel. The scream increased when I downshifted while rolling with the clutch in. I've been told a clutch costs in the neighborhood of $2000 for a dealer to fix. Is there another possible problem that wouldn't be as much and possible to repair if one is halfway proficient ...

I broke my prop shaft in half last weekend. Put it in gear, hit the gas and it felt like it popped out of gear. It wasn't... only thing left was about 3 inches of prop shaft with about a 1/4 inch of splines. Clean in half... Messed up thing was... I had it beached for about an hour while I had lunch and before trimming the motor down I walked around the boat and inspected everything. Prop ...

I just have never seen an axle shaft like this, are they common, why are they like this and not one whole piece, like ones I've always seen? Its from a d-30 (yj axle). Thanks alot [IMG] [/IMG] Also the yoke looks different from what I have always seen, seems like it yoke ...
