Hey Howard, This is a follow up of my question (Spitfire 1500 Valve Rattle). The engine came out of a Spit built for racing. It orginally had a Mallory Elec Dist and I changed it to a 45D4 with elec ignition. After much reading and thinking I decided to reset the timing back to 10 BTDC but this time I disconnected the vacuum advance. The care runs much stronger through all rpms and the rattle...

Hi everyone i am pretty new to all this so you might have to bear with me. I am posting some pictures of my dads on going project building his Mk IX spitfire. This is a full scale replica and has been made with alloy skins all hand rivetted as on a real spit. It has been made as a non flyer but he has used orignal drawings to build it so the overall result is like a real spit minus the engine. I ...

Just a few comments on this article: GLAD to see realistic values placed on the great undervalued Triumph Spitfire. The car in the article says its a 79. I thought all 79's had the rubber bumpers. Mine does. It does not mention owner having changed it out. Another odd but very nice item is the steering wheel. The factory one was smaller, fatter, and all rubber. This looks to be a nice ...

But I need somewhere to spend my last 210 SP. Here is my current build: http://www.aradsociety.com/planner/?class=spitfire #040:uEe9PbuMbvFf0TbuDbuGbvIb0UbuOfwGfxJbvGivNhuCf xBb9LhvAbvXfwHfxMbuBfxCdxPbwDb Now, I was thinking Freeze Grenade, but is it really worth getting? I really like Flash Bang, so I'm not so sure I want to make that change. Also, I do not plan to boost Rising Shot, it's ...

Hi I have built a quarter of the cockpit of the spitfire and the decals for the clear plastic lenses are backwards. The gauges are facing the paper side of the decals. I found this when I went to transfer the decal to the plastic and they didn't line up. So I flipped the decal and low and behold the gauge fronts were there. It makes sense to do it that way since that has the decal glue on ...

Hi has anyone picked up the new 1:32 scale Spitfire Mk.IXc yet? I just bought one for $150 Canadian and what a kit it is. I have never seen such a nice kit.

Can someone tell me what are the safe operating temperature perameters for this cpu? The motherboard (gigabyte Via KT133 msi kt pro) records the tem as 34c/93f but the software fan monitor says it is 39c. I am not experiencing any problems with crashes and I am not getting any sytem warnings about the cpu temperature but I am wondering what are the safe perameters as 5+ difference might be ...

Does anyone on here like them as much as I do? This is my first year bow hunting and the 2 deer! I got both of them with these broadheads. And they seem to do an awesome job but the price is high now I need some more but 40$ for 3 of them. Where can I get them cheaper now that I need some more?

Sort of a St. John look-a-like, but with a line guide and a spitfire-type spool. This reel is 3.5" in diameter and is running very well. A great way to dress up a classic cane rod without breaking the bank. $45, shipped. This reel is marked "X-Pert" on the back, is 3" in diameter and no doubt made by the same maker (Shakespeare?) as the first...

Now here's a bizarre face off. The Scientologists are using imagery from WW2 and citing Churchill in advertising material aimed at recruiting new members: One image, seeking new staff to volunteer to work at the organisation's headquarters, carries a black-and-white picture of a Spitfire soaring triumphantly over the Home Counties, together with the quotation: "It's not enough that we do our...
