I have a 1950 chev pu which needs the spindles repaired so that I can get it on the road. Could someone clear up what is required to weld up the areas worn by the inner wheel bearings on the spindle surface. At this point there is about .004" wear. Just wondering what type of welding would be required for this. any help would be appreciated. Glenn

Hi guys I am looking for a 2TB Hard Drive for my Synology 107+ I am not really bothered about noise as the drive is in my office - I stream media to my TV which is on the floor above.. I have seen a couple of drives though the spindle speed seems to be different, would I notice the difference between a 7200 RPM and a 5900 RPM The Hitachi seems like a good buy but I am ...

Hey guys, I have a quick question for you. I have a pair of FabTech 3.5" 2wd lift spindles and a set of 18s with 275/65-18s (32") mounted on them. The 18s have a +22mm offset (5.625" backspacing) and ever so slightly contact the spindle before they are fully seated on the disc. Would it be ok to grind a small amount off of the upper corner of the spindle so that the wheels fit ok? I have ...

The other day I had the passenger side rear wheel bearing seize up and start the car fishtailing on the freeway. I had to limp it home another 5-6 miles and when I got out it smelled pretty bad. I am hoping the spindle is good to go but who knows. What should I be looking for....is it obvious when one requires replacement? Is that part hard when replacing the hub assembly?? Thanks. Also, ...

I've read conflicting information on whether or not it is best to use grease on the BB spindle when installing cranks. Just wanted to see what the consensus was on here, grease or no grease? [My Bike]

I just got the wiring in to my Roto-master motor type phase converter for my (1991) KM3P. As luck has it the legs were out of phase so the motor ran backwards... no big deal right, - Wrong! The speed adjustment motor started turning to set the spindle @ 2000rpm - going the wrong way and went way beyond the normal scale before it was shut down. Now I need to know how to get things ...

** Sale pending ** Oneway spindle steady with 1.25" clamp nut (fits Jet 1220 ways) for $80 shipped to L48. I assembled but never used so it's in like-new condition. Steady, 1.25" clamp nut and hex wrench included (original box not included because it won't fit in a flat rate box). PM if interested. FYI, Lee Valley sells clamp blocks in other sizes for ~$15 each if your lathe doesn't...

Anybody have any suggestions on where to find the right driver. I would prefer not to spend a couple hundred dollars on a snap on kit that I'm only going to use once. thanks...

This came up in a SMC thread. The ad is in the Dec/Jan 09/10 issue of Wood magazine (#195). The spindle sander is $79.99 with the coupon. this is about the same as the current price of $99.99 minus a 20% coupon. But using the specific spindle sander coupon frees your 20% coupon up for something else (if you are buying something else at the same time). And of course if you are lucky, you might ...

Is bending a spindle a common occurrence? I havent seen many threads with this problem. Does any one manufacture a gusset aside from All-pro that retains the factory sway bar? I know TC doesnt but is there anyone else?

My Sony TC-530 was working beautifully save for one small problem. The spindle for the take-up reel was sunken too far into the machine, causing the side of the tape to scrape along the take-up reel, resulting in a squeaking sound and possible tape wear. I dismantled the unit and removed the spindle. Inspection showed that the spindle could be shimmed. Using a paper punch, scissors, and a...

Hi I just got a used Super Go-Quad and one of the front tires has a camber angle to it. The bracket is bent a little which is causing the camber. I can probably bent back (or re-weld) but is there a way to reinforce the bracket. Has anyone try putting on a go-cart spindle brackets. The quads brackets seem a little weak… Thanks.
