I have seen on the show a number of instances the officer was improperly using the radar (both microwave and laser radars). Improper use results in an unreliable speed reading. In real life this occurs more than many people realize. Also in real life many police officers do not know proper use but should because most, if not all, states require some level of training.

So as usual some nut comes speeding up behind me at about mach 8 or so and then weaves around me. There's a lot of these speed wackos who think they're driving on the autobahn or believe they're special and above the law. What I usually do is slow down drastically and then speed up as they pass me and I look toward the back of their car to make them think I'm taking their license plate down. ...

So, I've had a couple of single speeders, and more recently, I have had a 29er KHS solo one. Loved the 29er. want to go again, but with my history of snapping frames, I'm a bit unsure as to which way to go re material, brand of frame etc I like steel, but lower grade doesn;t seem to hold up to my 220pds, and the big gear i like to push (32:16 on the 29er) So far I am at frame #4, ...

Okay, I've got a question about fighting a warning citation for speeding. I was pulled over this morning for, supposedly, going 58mph in a 40mph zone. The thing is, I had my car's cruise control set at 40, because I know this area is notorious for pulling over speeders. Since I work in the area, which involves a lot of local driving, I am always careful to drive at the correct speed limit...
