Hello everyone!! I have not been on here in such a long time I hope everyone is ok...been busy. I have a quick question. My almost 2 yr old says really weird words and she doesn't call things by the exact name and she twists words around. Like she calls food doodoo...I am not sure why. Our youngest son has speech problems. He was in speech therapy. Private speech therapy went really well. Then we had to go with public school therapy and it went downhill. The therapists attitude towards us and all our children was not acceptable. She would tell me every session how she had no idea what was wrong with him and she could not come up with any diagnosis. He is not in speech ...

Again I know seeking reassurance is dangerous but on top of my obsessions I am suffering the physical symptom of occasional speech difficulties. Although not diagnosed from the information I have digested on the net and on this forum I am 99% sure I am experiencing Pure O. I have noticed that since it seemed to peak I find myself making mistakes when I speak. My tongue feels almost like it is ...

Speech Problems in teenage years Hi, I am 17 and have a problem with speaking. I can speak perfectly clear in my head, but when I speak it comes out mumbled and warped. I want to ask if this is a problem which can be cured. And if it can, who can cure it. If I cannot fix this issue, I will get nowhere in life. Thanks

I purchased the K2 in Oct and than two weeks later they discontinued it so I returned my unit (I get better At&T wireless where I live) and got the KI. When I received it I noticed the text to speech function took about 20-40 seconds to go on (went on within 1-3 seconds with my other unit) and now I am noticing it shuts off and the device freezes causing me to have to reset the darn thing. ...

My son has, for many years, had eczema around his mouth. Because of this he learned to talk with minimal mouth movement. The problem with this is that we can't always understand him when he talks. He is now 7 and in grade 2. Luckily his face has all healed up, but his speech is not clear. We are working with him to reteach him how to move his mouth to form the words. Has anyone else dealt with ...

Replying to: Hello! Speech problems. Hello! Okay, let me first start by saying I am no professional (ha!), but I would say that if you are worried about her speech, here is something you can start doing. Every time she says a word, write it down. Pick a day to do this and stick w/ it - it might get old fast. When you write the words down, make note of the actual word versus her way of ...

My son turned 2 in Aug. He's been doing sign since he was 12mo and can sign or communicate anything. Hes incredibly smart. Not lacking in any other area. He's always been very shy about talking, even trying to talk. I remember when he was little he would only try to say a new word alone with me in the bathtub, and even then after he said it he would get embarrassed. I can tell he has ...
