Which speaker wire to replace Belkin PCOCC? Can anyone recommend a speaker wire to replace Belkin PCOCC? I love the sound of the Belkin wire, but it's so hard to strip and I like to use raw ends and trim them back every so often.

I have a modest home theater system. All used parts. Pioneer VSX501 receiver, Sony SS350H fronts, Sony 5000 center, and Sony SS150H rears. No sub yet. Since all speakers and my receiver don't have banana plug capability, and you just strip the wire and push it in, will I see any advantage in upper speaker wire and inner connects or is my Radio Shack wire and connects sufficient ? I'm not an ...

Sorry if this has been posted before but I cannot seem to find exactly what I am looking for. I am wanting to install a line output converter in my new Camry for my amp, but I cannot seem to find a wiring diagram for the stereo. If anyone is able to help I would greatly appreciate it. For the record its a 2010 Camry LE with Bluetooth, XM, USB, and upgraded radio display, if any of this matters...

Hello, I just picked up some "RCA speaker wires" from Home Depot. 14 AWG I was planning on running them in the walls for my system, however they are not CL-2 or CL-3. Will this still work? I don't want to waste time doing it if its going to be problems in the future.

Has anyone modified these speaker wall mounts to conceal speaker wire through the main shaft? Also, if you did, how did you attach the mount to a stud without the wire being a problem? Did you attach it strickly with anchors? Was your speaker weight a problem? Thanks for your help.

I'm just wondering if stock speaker wire could handle 100wRMS I just thought it would be easier to connect my wiring from my amp to the factory speaker wire when i am already pulling my RCA and remote wire to my head unit from my amp. just go ahead and run four speaker wires and connect them to my factory wire. is this ok

The blue coregated stuff is called ENT (Electrical Non-metallic Tubing). It can be a pain to deal with especially when it comes time to blow strings. I prefer EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing) but I do have a full set of benders so I can make it do what ever I want it to do. A DIY'er doesn't generally have the benders and the know how. My whole house is piped mainly under the slab, it makes ...

The multiple stranded wire is not a myth, AC currents like to flow on the edge of a conductor, as the naturally created magnetic fields repel them from the center. I don't know about the rounded turns, unless you bend the turns so sharp you start to break the conductors inside the wire.
