Hi there, I'm after a bit of advice on spaying our mini lop. The vet has quoted £55 to do this, but has warned that there is a bit of a risk in the anaesthetic procedure. This is due to having to give them up to 10 times the amount that is used for a cat! Although on the other hand they said, "most" are fine. There seem to be several benefits of spaying in my mind such as: -No ...

MYTH: It's better to have one litter before spaying a female cat. FACT: Every litter counts. Medical evidence indicates just the opposite. In fact, the evidence shows that females spayed before their first heat are typically healthier. Many veterinarians now sterilize dogs and cats as young as eight weeks of age. Check with your veterinarian about the appropriate time for these ...

Brought my cat to this trusted and biggest Veterinary Hospital in Cheras for spaying. Then, the vet called to tell that my cat died. My cat is healthy and active but in the hands of that EXPERIENCED DR, she died. It's really a terrible experience and somehow, this showed how irresponsible they can be by putting blames on the medicines. Pets are living creatures and should not be experiment. ...

I have heard it better to wait for a dane to be older before spaying, but which is better to spay before the first heat cycble and greatly reduce chances of cancer or wait for growth plates to close, what else besides the growth does spaying before 6 months do to a dane?

Question about spaying Lucy is coming up on 6 months now. She was born the end of June. She is losing her baby teeth. Last time she was weighed she was 4.2 pounds... she has grown a little bit more, but not too much. I have heard many different things, so I am wondering when I should get her spayed? I know yorkies can be very sensitive to anethisia so the whole...

My 2 kittens (now about 20 weeks) havent been spayed yet or even set foot outside yet for that matter.. Will spaying calm them down a little - they are maniacs and are systematically ripping my chairs, curtains and rugs to shreds. Also, is it best to keep them indoors and leave the outdoor toilet training until after they have been done. I am planning to get the job done in January.

Question: What is the minimum temp for spraying nitro lacquer? I have my temp spray both set up in a very large shop, vetilation taken care of. But todays weather is causing me concern. I have had the heaters fired up for an hour or so and the temp in the shop is 55F with humidity of 45%, outdoor temp is 35F according to my digital weather station. I have all the pieces acclimated to the room...

I have gotten different advice from different vets on when to spay my pup. My puppy has a very small vulva. It is also high set, which I have been told means that it stays too damp. This has caused issues with vaginitis and UTIs. As a young pup, she went through 3 courses of antibiotics without her vaginitis clearing up. All vets agree that her vulva is very small and that contributes to these ...

My boyfriend is having his puppy spayed tomorow and is kind of worried. She is 7 months old and has already had one heat. Is this too old or too young? The vet said that any dog can be spayed or neutered at any age as long as they are at least two pounds. We were at the vet last Monday and he told us that he will send her home with pain medications and to just give them to her whenever she seems ...

To Spay Or Not To Spay...that is the question I would like to hear from those on both sides of the coin I am specifically referring to having Roxy spayed My main fear about not spaying would be that the female develops pyometra but really how common is that in the average unspayed female? Keeping her away from other male dogs during her heat cycle would be extremely easy so that in ...

I just read of a birth control for feral cats, that you put in their food once a week, to stop them from coming into heat; Link This is not to be used instead of trapping and spaying/neutering, but instead as possibly a temporary "fix" till you can trap. The link advises that it is not harmful to males or kittens, and it is given in canned food once a week. Just a speck can stop a ...
