I watched it again last night, and was struck by how tender and beautiful the scenes between Douglas and Jean Simmons were. The feelings between them were papable and their simple scenes together were as effective as any of the large-scale scenes in the film.

I wish they provided the text of his speech, but maybe it will be posted somewhere soon. I especially liked slide number 23.
