I've finished the game and have been re-doing some of the earlier missions for all stars and I think "The Spanners" might well be glitched:- I have got 6/7 stars found all 17 pickups but the one star I just can't get is the Ace and it seems to be connected with the fact I can't complete the last Bonus Task: Mopping Up. I've been over the whole map destroying all marked red/orange/yellow ...

You're very expert and very knowledgeable on the game so why don't you continue from where the guy left off? There then would be a complete walkthrough separated into two parts. There would be no need to go over what he already covered unless you wanted your walkthrough to be as good as you could make it which would entail covering those missions also.
