[SPACESHIPS] In-between and incremental hull sizes The Traveller thread discussing warships of 1125 got me thinking about how to implement some of their discussion into Spaceships. Basically there's discussion about, say, 30,000 ton hulls being superseded by 40,000 ton hulls and it got me thinking how to model this in Spaceships. I ...

Hello all, As some of you might know GURPS Spaceships (and its many supplements) has been out for quite a while now, and even though I was somewhat skeptical of the starship-design system at first, it has grown on me by now. I've used the book(s) to convert a couple of 40K starship and aerospace vehicles into GURPS. Before I get started listing the conversions I'm going to put-down some of my ...

So in hot anticipation of the rest of the spaceships guides I decided to check out the GURPS page. Here's my confusion. In Spaceships Core near the front of the book in a little sidebox (pg 4) they talk about all the future spaceships books to come out. Every one of them (including the up and coming 7) are following the previously mentioned names. However 8 (though it's ...

There's a difference? That movie was total liberal propaganda. If a company can afford to build spaceships, mining ships and afford lobbyists to have politicians let them us our military, they should be able to fly to any planet in the universe they want and strip away it's natural resources and exterminate any locals that get in the way. That's the American way. We don't need no stinking ...

Really, it's unbelievable they don't have low impact mining technology that can safely and cleanly remove the valuble ore below the ground. They can do a cross breed clone of a human and a Navi species that is telepathically controlled from miles away. And they can build huge hover spaceships that travel light years away. They can put humans in some kind of cryogenic sleep for 5 years at a ...

You're on crack, dude. Flight of the Navigator ship never went underground. It's first flight with the boy in it was when it shot straight up through the atmosphere. It did go underwater; someone already mentioned that. When she started to play, Steinway came down personally and rubbed his name off the piano.
