This was a game from this weekend vs Stuart. He's playing his tyranid army, so during the game we chatted about what the new codex might contain. I thought up this army list during the week, been really looking forward to trying it out. This was my first use of drop pods EVER so bear that in mind... Hi guys, I've been playing my Eldar like crazy since starting them up a couple of months ago and I'm LOVING the faction. However, I've been having trouble recently against my buddy's Chaos Space Marines, which he has outfitted with some very tasty, very effective stuff recently. My Wraithguard were kicking his butt (and his Tau army, and my two other friends' SM and Ork armies...) plenty so ...

First, I'll say that we didn't have a chance to finish this match, there may be a rematch next week but we did make it to turn 3 and things were really starting to heat up. This Battle Report was also supposed to serve as a tactical analysis of my army, but unfortunately it doesn't even come close to properly representing a typical match at my GS for several reasons. Second, my opponent is a 12...

My guess for the line up is: Tyranids (Obviously) Then Tau and/or Blood Angels (Not much work is needed on either front so this could be a quick one. Just a couple new plastic sets each.) Followed by Necrons Last, Inquisition or Dark Eldar. (Both or all three, depending on how they do it, need a lot of work so these will be last no matter what.)

Quote from: stusurgent on November 2, 2009, 05:52:17 PM Tis true, that I shouldve just rushed those preds with fyrant, but its fun notheless. I knew I would have trouble from the start as mech is tough to fight. I figured fexe's could do more, but w/e. Yeah man, it's tough to take on mech armies with our current codex. And big squads of terminators are the worst things for our big bugs to ...

also it's sometimes a good idea to split TH/SS termies and dual LC teries within a squad (ie: 3 of one, 2 of the other.) this enables you to soften the enemy with the LCs before the TH/SS termies finish them off (at I-1, unfortunately)
