Hello, I am using XPSP2. I have used the registry hack to block installation of service packs, yet Automatic Updates still notifies me daily that I should install SP3. I have also deleted %windir%SoftwareDistribution\Download. However, when I go to Microsoft Update to try to specify that it not notify me of the SP3 update, it says it is already downloaded. Will DX10 run (and improve games) on WinXP SP3? Im reformating now. And I plan to create two partitions. One for XP SP3 and one for Vista. Habol ko lang sa Vista honestly ay ang DX10 support. When I boot up my computer I receive the error message that ituneshelper requires Xp SP2 or greater, then when I attempt to start itunes, I receive the same error message. I noticed on the Sonar 8.5 specs that it requires XPSP3 when using XP. Since I surf on a vista machine, microsoft won't let me download the SP3 update as it recognizes the OS as Vista I guess. Is this accurate? Do I need it for 8.5? I thought the SP3 was mainly for internet security stuff. I'm thinking of getting the S8.5 upgrade (going from 4.0) but am also wondering ...

This morning, my comp just restarted, it ran chkdsk and now every time I reboot I only see the wallpaper after I do ctrl+alt+del,.and when I do ctrl+alt+del, I get the processexplorer with random wing ding characters. I tried booting into safe mode, but same issue... I tried booting from Win XP CD but get BSOD... I can still access the shared folders thru the network, but cant do ...

I edited and inplace family in 2010 and switched views, then closed the hidden views and now I can't finish or cancel the family because the buttons were in the view I started in. I can't find the buttons anywhere.. Just another ****** design flaw of the 2010 interface. Any ideas?
