So I've been flying Southwest forever and I have not used my free flight credits yet. I decided to book a flight today and I noticed that they have some crap now called "FREEDOM REWARDS" instead of RAPID REWARDS. So I call them up and ask why can't I book my flights for free with my free credit? the dates were not on the blackout list. They explain that they set a limited amount of ...

My girlfriend's luggage got lost by Southwest Airlines and they told her to list everything that was in it along with the price of the item. She had A LOT of stuff in it and it's going to be a lot of money. I just find it hard to believe SW Airlines ...

Does anybody know if Southwest Airlines has open seating? I assume you would just pick the first open seat that is taken if the open seating is the case?

I would avoid SouthWest airlines when traveling in the US. It "claims" to provide wonderful customer service and is all about the customer, BUT IT IS NOT TRUE. They offer a fare online called Business Fare. This is NOT a business anything. There is no special business section, no larger seat or anything you would find any business sections on any plane in the world. They claim that ...

Quote: When the plane is sold out, the flight attendant will ask about it as they are trying to close the door, but some remain standing. If I was standing there without a seat, you would keep lying? Nah but it would still be worth it for the other 100 times when the flight is not completely full

If you were looking for Business Class amenities like extra legroom or more/better food you chose the wrong airline. SW is surely not the way to go for road warriors who depend on flights for meals and IFE or want to rack up FF points to use on long haul flights, but anyone looking for point to point transportation at a low fare would be hard pressed to do better. I rarely fly SWA since most of...

I was about to book my ticket home from them, but then decided that I would pay the $1.11 extra and go w/ Virgin. Virigin > SW (at least for flights from SF to LA). But SW has some really good deals from time to time.

We tend to fly Southwest almost all of the time. We just got back from a Disney Cruise, and I checked in from the boat ($0.70/minute for internet use). I hit the mobile site 24 hours and 1 minute before the flight and kept clicking check in, and we got seats starting at A22. If you have at least one family member 5 or below, you can board after the A groups, but before the B groups (regardless...
