External soundcard? I've been reccomended this card for recording my dj sets to my laptop: http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-Tra...f=cm_cr_pr_p b_t I'm also planning on doing some production on it - is it up to the task or is there something more suited? Chances are I wont be using any midi inputs, solely usb, so I guess I dont need midi input features.......

I've been using a SB X-Treme Gamer X-Fi soundcard for a while now - it has worked fine but I'd like something far better. This is attached to a 500Watt Yamaha system + Twin 15" cabs with mids and tweets. The 15" woofers in the cabs are Realistic Mach 1's rated in the 200+'s per sub. Also 5 Twinbox Bose Sat's and a 10" self amp dedicated sub. All being powered by ...

I know there are guys out there that have taken the plunge into Windows 7 64 bit, but I've only found a few isolated remarks about soundcard driver stability. I'm looking for a new interface, and would like to know how others have fared getting soundcards from various manufacturers to play nice in the 64 bit world. I currently have a MOTU 896HD and am seeing regular BSOD's with ...

Hello everyone. I am currently looking for a new soundcard but I am quite picky about what I want from it, and the confusion between the ever-fading Creative cards and the new kids on the block - the Asus Xonars - is rife. I am currently using the on board Realtek High Def Audio built into the Gigabyte GA-P35C/DS3R Mobo, and have in the past used an old Sound Blaster Audigy (model number ...

I need a new soundcard for my daughter to sing into my computer. She wants to be a singer so is at voice coaching twice a week and practices at home veery day for 1 hour (so not to strain her voice.) Hi, I really want to bite the bullet this weekend and buy a soundcard/audio interface. I need monitors too, but I will wait til I get the soundcard/AI first. I want to get the soundcard that will allow any monitors to "plug in" to them, one that will decrease the horrible latency on my midi ...

I just bought my first decent headphones coming from a pair of Sennhieser 350s. I have used a 'Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series' soundcard to use with them but will this be okay for the HD 650? What soundcard should I be using? Also what's with those amps that look like a tapping telephone from the olden days.

running audio out of PC and back into soundcard Dogs, How in the hell are you supposed to run audio out of your PC/soundcard and then record it back into DAW? I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 so i figure: ok, audio comes out through the 1/4in outs, then I run it through some hardware effects and a mixer and then back into the Pres right? Well when I do that I get a lot of feedback...

Every year around the Holidays I get the upgrade bug, this year is no different. My current build has an Asus Xonar DX in it, which has been a great card, but....the upgrade bug has hit. Hi With regard to sampling rates and bit depths in a recording, what constitutes this effect, is it a setting in the soundcard/audio interface? Or is it a setting that needs to be adjusted in the DAW itself?
