Im after a sound recorder like the windows one (Sound Recorder). Something that saves as a wave file and uses a simple microphone. The windows one seems to be a bit rubbish, always says its out of memory and never records more than about 60 sec's. Any help would be great, i did a google search but I need a decent opinion on one, something without virus or maleware. Any ideas?

Can anyone suggest a free line in sound recorder? i want to record some of my old vinyl and minidiscs onto my PC, so i want something that lets me import and adjust input levels, to avoid distortion, and recored in MP3 format. I know i can record via windows, but this is very limited, no adjustments so i get distortion, and its saved as WMA.

how do I programmatically activate the printscreen function and sound recorder (record sound from a microphone) simultaneously? I have been looking all over the net for free screen casting or video production software and would like to try to make my own. Can someone provide me or show me how to do this quickly? Gracias

And is there a way to prevent it from happening? It's really irritating and makes it harder to record whatever I'm trying to record since it often starts too early.

after a system 'restore' sound recorder gives "an audio recording device cannot be found". Before the restore, it recorded steaming audio from the Internet correctly. speakers play CDs and streaming audio correctly. 1 person needs an answer I do too

LG phones have been using *.qcp files for sound recording for years now, and it doesn't look like that will change anytime soon. I'm afraid that, as long as you have enV3, you're stuck with a stupid format.
