crosshair III formula. I can only get the sound blaster x-FI to output stereo sound. I have the card connected to a 5.1 yamaha Amp via Optical. I have checked all the settings on sound options but can only get stereo sound nomaly on my other computers when i connect with optical the amp displays Dolby digital or DTS sound. i cant get this to work at all from Optical out ... can any one...

I´ve bought this card in two different resseler stores, both are the same (SB0060) with a golden text ´Sound Blater Live! 5.1 Digital'....... My Windows XP just don´t install them... it says things like ´CANNOT FIND SOUNDBLASTER CARD, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THIS HARDWARE´.... heh .. i was using back one of my super old sound blaster 16 .. isa .. in windows XP i has static / popping noise.. solution : change the resources (irg/dma/io) to the most less settings ...

I was in a match for MW2 (that wasn't laggy and didn't have a hacker) then my sound died. I restarted Win 7 and my sound blaster card couldn't be detected again? Did it just suddenly die?! Is there something I can do?

Is the onboard audio on the Gigabyte 790gx mobo (Realtek ALC889) better than a basic sound blaster audigy card? I ask because the sound blaster audigy is a really cheap (in price) sound card and I don't know if it's a big improvement. I have my bro's old sound blaster audigy sitting around, so it's basically free.

Also falls es von Bedeutunng ist, ich will mit der Karte Musik hören (klassische Musik) und Filme schauen. Ich will auch nicht so viel für diese Soundkarte ausgeben, denn ich bin der Meinung, dass der Preis des Soundsystems (hab meins damals für 130 Euro gekauft) in Relation zu der Soundkarte stehen muss. Also 140 Euro für so eine Karte muss nicht unbedingt sein. Hab mich mal weiter ...

Durante l'installazione, Windows 7 si era autoconfigurata la scheda audio integrata. Mi sono meravigliato perchè era l prima volta che un Windows vedesse una SoundMax. Il problema è sorto quando ho tentato di far funzionare il microfono su Skype. Niente da fare, gli altoparlanti funzionavano ma il microfono ed il line-in niente. Morale, ho dovuto cercare i driver originali compatibili con W7, ...
