Hello, I installed X-Fi MB on fresh Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit that I got with my Studio 15, activated it online. Now, when I try to open its Control panel, I get an error saying "Device not found". I installed the patch that is available in the Downloads area, restarted, nothing happened. I even tried the Windows 7 patch from "Windows 7 Upgrade Assistant DVD" that I got with ...

For some time now I have been trying to use the old "stereo mix" or "what u hear" I had on my old PC with XP. I built a new rig, got a new sound card and put Windows Seven on it but could not find Stereo Mix. So I started using an external audio cable to use "Line In" as my recording device and it works BUT when I'm recording and there is no audio there is a loud hissing sound and it makes it not...

Got it from ebay. Had 10 ebay bucks earned. Then got $7 INSTANT bing cashback on it. I think there's still one left on ebay. It is selling for $90 plus free shipping. With the bing instant, that's really $83. If you have any ebay bucks saved, it will be even cheaper. Not too shabby for an item listed for $139 on the Egg. I'm listening to music right now on it. Seems to ...

Hello! I badly speak in English, I write with the translator. At me is Dell Studio 540 (Windows Vista) with sound card Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer. Seldom, but there is a problem to a sound. From columns the strong unpleasant crash is distributed, peep and a sound vanishes approximately for 5 minutes, then he appears and tries how to reproduce all sounds at once which have been ...

After screwing around for days I finally managed to get my sound working by Installing Daniel K's fix + The current Creative drivers. I did however have one major problem, for some reason, even when my microphone was physically muted, and when my friends mic's were physically muted i hear mysterious static. This only occurs in skype / ventrilo. None of this happens with the ingame VOIP in CSS ...

Hello I am thinking about buying a creative sound blaster 7.1 x-fi elite pro sound card. However i am not sure whether my motherboard will support it. My motherboard has a PCI slot, PCIe 2.0 x 1 slots and PCIe 2.0 x 16 slots I read somewhere that i would need a PCI 2.1 slot, but i'm not sure what that is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Lol, I Should have paid attention to your sig. The X-Fi is a decent card if you get no issues. I have the Xtreme music version, Windows 7 64bit, but I have 3GB of RAM. That probably means I am possibly avoiding the problems some people get with 4GB. But having said that, I think it's somehow linked to being PCI-E. It would be best to get some opinions first before jumping in ...

I have the Champion fatality edition, with the front drive dock thing. Decent sound card but CRAPPY drivers. I had to use heavily modded drivers that some guy named Daniel K releases to get them from crashing in Windows 7. Have you experienced anything similar? In entertainment mode, 5.1, and x-fi crystalizer enabled?

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 - reviews - PC Components - Sound Cards - PC World Citaat: We were disappointed to find no support from Creative for Mac OS X. Our testing shows it will work on a plug-and-play basis on most Macs; using it as an external DAC eradicated the pesky line noise common in the Macbook Pro's integrated audio. However, it has a ...

I'm having the same issue as well on my Studio 14z - however, I did an upgrade to Win 7 instead of clean install. Prior to upgrade, X-Fi was working just fine. I also noticed the Dell Win7 upgrade package updating my sound card drivers and applying the X-Fi MB patch but now when I try to access the audio control panel I get "no audio device supported". You would think Dell would have tested ...
