Recs: 0 Beware any CEF with the word Claymore in the name, something fishy going on with HCE Three of my biggest losses on the CEFs I did lose money on all had the word Claymore in the name. At the time I bought them all three were selling at substantial discounts to NAV and had above average yields. They were DCS, HCE, and LCM. DCS was the worst. I lost almost 50% in the ...

Recs: 4 Something fishy about Monday - volume For something that practically qualifies as a market crash, I didn't see a lot of volume At first I just assumed there must have been volume, then I checked the charts S&P 500, Dow. Nothing too unusual really Index ETFs, sure it was high but not any kind of record. Wouldn't you think that true panic selling would result in...

Recs: 3 Something fishy about bailout-Dems caved too easily on "provisions"-Repubs must have something powerful to accomplish this. Dems could have passed this w/o repub support, but but wanted them onboard to share blame if bailout fails. IMHO, I think it's possible that repubs assembled (during two days when they were no shows) some real dirt on key dems and ...

Apparently the deal fell apart because House Republicans wouldn't go along with the deal. However, it appears the Senate would have the votes to pass the deal. Now, I could be mistaken (as I was in a different thread), but I believe the Dems control the House of Representatives. So, if they have a good deal that the Dems like and the Senate will pass, why are they worried about the House ...

Anyone notice the strange absence of the Rockies power hitters this past weekend aainst the D-backs? Supposedly Holiday had a "sore back" which i understand will be fine today against the Giants. Heltons back was also sore and Hurdle decided to sit him. I have no idea why he sat Hawpe down for 2 games. Also why isnt Jeff Francis slated to pitch against the snakes? I smell a rat and his ...
