We enjoyed another great dinner last night at Il Pomodoro in Somerville! The food was delicious and the service excellent. The owner, John Provost, is very accomodating (i had requested a very specific table), and he's quite charming. We started with raw oysters dressed wtih caviar, and sprinkled with iced vodka (poured at the table), and sweet pistacio encrushed shrimp. The entrees we ...

I had Ed Hill and Jim Bates from Somerville on Monday morning and we wound up with 37 catfish to 5 lbs. drifting with cut shad..........After Tuesday's frontal passage, I went solo Wednesday morning and picked up 22 to 6 pounds, using the same method......All fish came from 8 to 12 feet of water.......Catfishing is really good on Somerville right now.

Hey all, We just moved from CA to MA, and now I find myself living in a place with only street parking on a busy street, so I no longer have a place to work on the car. Does anyone know a good spot (ideally indoors) in this area where you can do car work? Back in Sweden, the local gas station would have indoor wash bays you could rent, but I haven't seen anything like it in...

I don't know how many of you know about Groupon, but it's a site like Woot but with deals on local services. Today's deal is a $30 gift card to Redbones in Somerville for $15. Groupon is totally legit - I've gotten a number of deals from them. Act fast, this one is limited and it will sell out. I'm guessing it won't make it to the afternoon. I've seen a few other good ones sell out that ...

I'm looking for fresh ramen noodles in the Cambridge/Somerville area. I know Pemberton Farms use to carry them. Couldn't find them recently? Anywhere else? Golden Dragon (Chinatown grocery store) or H-town did not carry them today... Help!

I just moved to Davis Square in Somerville from Manhattan and I'm worried about the sharp decrease in my restaurant ratio. Can anyone tell me where the best places in the Davis area to eat are? Do restaurants deliver around here? I'm currently carless, so I'm looking for places I won't need to drive to if not directly in the square.
