Do any of you know where I could obtain for free or for purchase a Solidworks model (sldasm) of a modern piston engine V8 or otherwise? The recent Solidworks ads show one that is very interesting (see attached). I am looking for one that is representative with lots of detail (cam, accessories, etc.) Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Bill http://lh6.ggpht.com/_aB9j-PkddxI/Sy_...

I was able to do this with files created on an older version of solidworks but this batch was created with the newest solidworks version. Inventor pops up a Translation report in the web browser with the error below. Is there a way to open these files? Thanks, Chuck Autodesk Inventor Translation Report ...

( Two years ago, Ben Eadie hosted a 'Stump the Chumps' session at SWW. While we were unable to get it on last year's agenda, we did get it on this year's. We are, however, changing things up a bit. While we'll still be taking some live questions, we're also accepting questions before the session, as well as having people vote on which questions to answer. If you go to http://st umpthechum ps....

( The "free stuff" still isn't free per se. You'll need to contact your VAR to see if they know of current offers for free Exhibit Hall passes \(usually sponsored by a convention participant\). That doesn't get you into the morning general session or any of the breakout sessions. It does get you into the building to check out all the cool stuff being exhibited. :\) , )

Quote (sldwkmin): It is just as easy to respond as point to another lengthy post that is half dataless complaining as opposed to useful information. Typing " FAQ559-1345: Can I Save A SW Document As An Older Version? " and hitting the submit button took me about 6 seconds, and has the added benefit of making members aware that an FAQ section exists. Quote (sldwkmin): There is not any ...

Gotcha. I was reading about what stream processors were, and thought that having more would be good for rendering. I will stick to the Nvidia Quadro FX 580. Thanks very much for your help Shadow! Best, Wes
