I have been told the upgrade to a solid state drive (SSD) is like night and day; it will feel like you have a new machine. It will be a much bigger difference than upgrading RAM or even CPU. I have a IBM Lenovo T60 87445BU laptop and am debating on a SSD. However, there are so many different options (e.g. MCL vs SCL) that I am not sure what is best for me. I'd like to spend $300-$...

I am currently running a Kustom Groove bass 1200 (600W at 4 ohms) through a Fender 810 Pro. I am thinking of getting a Peavey VB2 to replace this head. How much would I be loosing volume wise? I have to keep up with a Marshall 50W Tube / 412 and 200W SS / 412. The Kustom is loud enough at about 3/4 on the volume Knob, can the Peavey keep up? Thanks - J -

I always see something to this effect when people talk about solid state rigs of the 60's and 70's. "Was the loudest rig ever!" Are older solid state rigs like Acoustic Control and Sunn Rigs really that much louder than the solid state rigs of today? Was it more about the cabs, or are this old dog heads just as loud when you put em' through modern cabs?

UD3P board I have. Are there any 'Pitfalls' to using an SSD Drive (64G maybe 128GB) to completely take the job of the Hard Drive? Or at least take up 99% of the job with THIS motherbaord?

Today is exciting, my new solid state hard drive (60GB for £160) arrived in the post and tonight I'm going to plug it in. Woha! I bought this because Windows 7 seems very slow to start up. Anyone got one of these things and have they noticed any vast performance improvements? I'm half expecting a huge anticlimax.

Can I swap out my mechanical HDD (7200 RPM, 320Gb) for a solid state drive? If so, am I able to purchase such a drive, like the ones that come standard in Macbook Pros on the Apple site? Can I purchase an item like this from Apple? If not, could someone point me in the right direction? Also, on the same note, is it possible purchase replacement Mechanical HDD (like the one I ...
