She wont take 3rd and reverse is just as good as pushing it backwards( no go unless a lil ...

Which dual carb set up is better Weber ict34 or Solex 34? Engine is a Type1 1641cc with standard cam, and a VW Speed shop side exit S/S exhaust, no heat exchangers. Have used the Webers before and was happy with the set up but I have been looking at the Solex kit on VW Speed Shop website (link above) Similar price but the Solex`s have electric chokes. I am after useful ...

The trip to the funeral at Chatswood today was the first long trip since the new diff was fitted. Travelled very well but it got a little warmer than I'd like. The engine is a twin Solex 504 but still with the new 404 radiator. What is the next size up that will fit and increase the volume of coolant.? Years back we used Commodore rads in 504s but the battery in Peppi sits much ...

I've done only the basic adjusting of the idle screws to try and correct this running too rich issue....the Jeep actually runs pretty well these days after having a REAL Weber put on (as opposed to the Solex knockoff that WAS on there), but this Weber has been through three different "Jeep" mechanics now, all the appropriate work has been done for her to run right (Holley FPR installed, vaccuum ...

The alfa romeo giulietta gold portfolio from brooklands explains on page 20 and 21 that the solex can be setup differently with the result that both the primary and auxiliary throats open synchonously. This gives better performance results. 0 to 50 goes from 9.2s to 8.2s Anyone experience with this?
