We've only got 24 hours there between sailing around Phuket , and a trip to Khao Sok. We are a family and would like to stay in a quiet beach-side bungalow, (no spas or international-type hotels). There are lots offered in my old guidebook which pre-dates the tsunami, like Mai's Quiet Zone, which looked fantastic but is sadly no more. Any ideas or are there none on offer?

Wednesday 11th Nov = green day ok its WI day today agian and I have gained that 1/2lb back again - Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I then went to Cafe and had tomato and basil soup and bred bun for lunch ( to catch up with news from friend ) and having pesto pasta for dinner ( but tried to get another box of trofie pasta while in Sainsbury but no luck so it looks like the last time we will have the good one...
