Hello! We have a campus agreement, and as part of it we can purchase very cheap Office DVDs to give to our incoming students for free. As part of a cost cutting measure we were looking at potentially ending the purchase of the software and allowing our students to install Office via a firewalled/behind Active Directory login internal website - of which I questioned the legality ...

I'm trying to use ConfigMgr to deliver the SCCM Admin Console to a collection. The package has been successfully copied to a DP. When the client receives the advertisement, it initiates the download and populates the folder structure in the cache, but no files ever get downloaded. Other packages targetted at this client work correctly. Here is an excerpt of the IIS7 logs: 2009-...

HI, I've been having no luck trying to run an MSI package uninstaller. I have to uninstall a previous version of our budget software, but the uninstall keeps failing. The MSI only contains a few dll files, less than a MB total. The msi has prompts, so I use the commandline: "msiexec.exe /uninstall clarityactivex_6.2.0.378 /passive /quiet" When I tested this by typing it manually on a test ...

I have a software distribution package that I originally advertised to run "whether or not a user is logged on". The distribution package is actually a third party patch (Lotus Notes), where I am using SCCM to deploy the patch. Problem was that some of my users were not logging out of the application and consequently the advertisement would fail. I found that if I rebooted the users PC and then ...

I wouldn't read too much into it being a dll file in my original log post. That is just an excerpt. In the full log many (but not all) files in the SCCM console package are cycled through. Any idea what to do to clear those BITS jobs out of there? Using bitsadmin /reset /listall fails. Resetting individual jobs fails, telling me I'm not the owner. With that being said, BITS ...

It is possible that you installed the MSI for the logged on user, but SCCM runs the uninstall command under SYSTEM credential, so MSI installer thought the product is not installed for the SYSTEM. Please change the program setting to run the program under user credential, and try it again. Proposed As Answer by Eric Mattoon MSFT , Moderator Monday, December 07, 2009 8:53 PM Marked ...

Hello, I'd like to know if there is now a fix for this issue ? And if yes, is it included into SP2 ? What I've have seen on my side is that the issue occurs only if there is no mandatory assignment. Note that in my case program is advertised to computers To summarize: SCCM with no mandatory advertissement, no network access account and the user at the client machine is not a local ...

Hi although this has been marked as answered, is the only fix so far to wait 24 hours? I'm starting to see this issue occur more and more often, I'm sure we have left this over the weekend and the issue still persists, is this a feature or a bug? Is there any more info/troubleshooting that can be done, any known supported fixes? Going to be upgraded to SCCM SP2, will monitor.. SCCM ...
