So I need a socket 754 Athlon CPU. No Semprons please. No heatsink and fan needed. New or used doesn't matter, as long as it works. Even if you know of a store that still has one please let me know. Am located in Whitby but work downtown. Will pay for delivery depending on the price. Pm is key. Money in hand and need this ASAP.

You didn't make a mistake. ASRock released an old Socket 754 board but with a newer chipset AMD 760 with SB 710 south bridge. AMD Socket 754 is the first K8 socket after Slot A. I have an old MSI RS480 motherboard that I bought back in 2005. One day I wanted to flash the bios and during the process there was a power failure. The motherboard has been sitting in the box dead ever since. I noticed however that the bios chip is removable. I never attempted to find a replacement back then. Looking for an old socket 754 motherboard to fit a 754 Athlon 64 I have lying around. I need it for a test system for hard drives so I need one with at least a SATA port or two on it along with the normal IDE ports. Onboard video or an AGP slot also. Note also the issue of mounting the heat sink, as mobile s754s are without a heat spreader(IHS) while desktop board's retention bracket is designed for a processor with the IHS. A small modification of the retention bracket enables the heat sink to make proper contact with the CPU core of a mobile chip.
