Hi, just wondering if anyone has recommendations for some high protein snacks, but that have little to no carbs? All I can think of is meat, eggs and cheese....

We are trying to fit a lot into 3 weeks in SE Asia and have 3 teenagers to feed. Can you buy snack foods in Bangkok , Kanchanaburi or Chiang Mai , to fill in the gaps between meals. I would like to be able to keep muesli bars, lollies/chocolate or dried fruit and nuts in my bag to keep up their energy while sightseeing or travelling between cities. The youngest is unadventurous with ...

We have a busy trip planned and I wonder if you buy snack foods in PP or Siem Reap , to fill in the gaps between meals. With 3 teenage children I would like to be able to keep muesli bars, lollies/chocolate or dried fruit and nuts in my bag to keep up their energy while sightseeing or travelling between cities. The youngest is unadventurous with his food, and I wonder if I need to ...

I hear a lot about the great Vietnamese food, but can you buy snack foods in HCMC, to fill in the gaps between meals. With 3 teenage children I would like to be able to keep muesli bars, lollies/chocolate or dried fruit and nuts in my bag to keep up their energy while sightseeing or travelling between cities. The youngest is unadventurous with his food, and I wonder if I need to bring ...

I take it it's normal for babies to regress during/after being poorly?? Kirsty will not touch any finger foods since she has been poorly. She wont even let me put a piece in her mouth. It's frustrating as she had just mastered getting food from her tray into her mouth & letting it go so she could eat it. I'll keep offering her foods though, hopefully soon enough she'll start picking ...

( Does anyone have any ideas for snack foods for us? I now have an addiction to the honey wheat pretzel twist which I found out today that pretzels are considered slider foods and will make us gain weight \(might be part of my problem?\) I never used to eat a lot of crunchy salty foods but for some reason I want that? So I am looking for something to snack on to replace my pretzel ...

Ara-Ararauana - which protein shake do you buy and how many carbs are in it? MH - yes, I see your point. I guess I should clarify why I'm asking for such recommendations. I'm not trying to lose weight at all. I have been experiencing ketones in my blood in the morning. It's possibly from not eating anything else after dinner, and then eating a really light breakfast. The suggestion ...

Thank you so much everyone for all your information - it makes the trip less daunting knowing there'll be familiar food to eat as well as the local food.

We bought some snacks from the supermarket near Bich Duyen and they were like salada biscuits but with coconut flavour, they were great and very tasty. Lou

I brought some muesli bars, chocolates and sweets along with me to VN but didn't really touch them and ended up giving them away! You will all love the local food. Eat lots of fresh fruit and the dried stuff which is like crisps/chips is pretty good. Try the crunchy jackfruit chips, they're really good! If the kids are a bit fussy bring some stuff that is ...

I wasn't judging anybody based on their weight, the two being in the same sentence does not mean there couldn't be one without the other. Unfortunately, I actually worked for an unnamed mass marketer and had to interact with the people who shop there and I got to see what everybody purchased and the link between items/pricing/customers couldn't have been a coincidence. Anyway, I'm sorry if I...
