We just had something bizzare happpen tonight. My husband gets a summons to small claims court in a town where we've never even lived. It claims that my husband is the owner of an auto repair shop and made bad repairs on this man's car. This was all supposed to take place in Penna. - we live in NC. Well my husband doesn't own a business, does not own a car or even have a driver's ...

Hello On Ebay I recently sold an expensive £600 video recorder to a bidder in Italy who paid using Paypal. The recorder was in full working order when shipped from the UK, but after receiving the item, the buyer now claims the recorder is faulty. The buyer has now started a claims process with Paypal to obtain a refund, and whilst the claim is being considered, Paypal has frozen funds ...

A few years ago I moved out of a local complex and management failed to return my security deposit or notify me of the damages within 30 days. I moved overseas approx 30 days after moving out of this property. After speaking with them a number of times, they failed to return my deposit and then went a step further and sold the debt to a collection agency. I am now interested in filing a suit in...

It would be best to go through all non-judicial channels first. This is a small amount of money, the filing fee is $65 which is already eating away at your small amount of money. - NC Attorney Generals Office (complain against management company) - Better Business Bureau against management company - Dispute charges on your credit report via certified letter, demand removal or proof the debt ...

So after almost 6 months of letters, threats to sue, etc, I finally went to my local small claims court to file a claim under FDCPA today and was rejected for 3 reasons. The suit I tried to file was for $4500 ($1000 for the violation, and $3500 for pain and suffering and loss of credit): 1) The defendant is not in my area, and thus this court is the wrong venue. The defendant MUST be within ...

"Have Tesco offered to repair or replace? No" Does that mean you have asked and they have refused, or you have not asked and they have not offered? She did not ask, and they did not offer. The store gave her a form to fill in and send to tesco customer services. About a week later she got the usual 'sorry about your problems' letter together with a refund for just under half of the ...

First of all, stay calm. I'm sure this can and will all work out. It's unnerving, I know, but please don't lose sleep over it. In the morning, call the District Justice's Office and explain to them what you have told us here. Be sure to keep the conversation civil and light, regardless of how you feel on the inside. If you have agitation in your voice, it could make them think you are ...

Everyone should remember that Paypal owe you a duty of care too. If they are not taking proper steps to verify the probity of a buyer's claim, they may well be in breach of that duty, which leaves them open to a claim of negligence.

Now that you've posted that, Gatorade will actually come out with a flavor called "Dolphin Rush" . I have no idea what it will taste like, but really, how good can it be? You can blame yourself for this one.
