I have an unusual situation that has appeared. I have a Qnap TS-101 with Slimserver 6.5.1 My Squeezebox can access music in the normal way. My default network share folders, and the music share folder is missing when i view through windows. The public share folder is still there. Hi Does anyone have instructions for removing the Progressive AV Slimserver 6.3 from a Qnap TS-101? I am planning to use my old TS-101 for general back up and I would really like to get rid of Slimserver to avoid any possible conflicts with my SC7 set up on a TS-119.

All, I have just purchased a duet and the idea was trying to run slimserver on the NAS but I've since found out that the duet controller or ipeng require at least v7 of the software. I only found instructions to install v6.5 on my mybook so this is obviously not working, Its very annoying as I spent hours trying to get this to work so my question is what version of slimserver/...

Hi I am trying to get my Squeezebox to work on my Qnap TS-119 NAS server. I downloaded Qnaps SSOTS (slimserver on turbostation) and installed it. Then I installed the tar.gz intstallation file from SlimDevices website. After installation I try to start SqueezeCenter 7.3.2-24695. Then it tells me that: "SqueezeCenter 7.3.2-24695 is running with PID 18451 and SqueezeCenter's MySQL is...

I have followed the very good even easier instructions (Thanks Tired Legs Et al) to install slimserver on my Buffalo NAS LS-CH1.0TL with the latest 1.07 firmware. All seems to have gone OK but I cannot access the slimserver web address as port 9000 appears to be the same as that used by Buffalo for their internet web access. Has anyone else had this problem ? Chumby, the Device

Sorry about too many descriptions up there, I want to make sure that if there's a quick easy solution this shows up in the search engines. Installed Squeezebox server on my home Ubuntu Linux server the other evening. Set up the Chumby to stream from it. So far so good. I am reasonably au-fait with Linux, but I wouldn't describe myself as being particularly technical. Some links which may help you gauge ...

I'm not sure if you are already aware of this, but if you start Squeezebox Server with debugging active on network.cometd like "slimserver.pl --debug network.cometd=debug" it will log all communication with SqueezePlay in the server.log. This is very useful when you want to see if the command send from SqueezePlay matches the command you've registered with addDispatch. From the error you got...
