I used the search function and Corey's great thread, but I have not run across any threads on suggestions for sleeping bags. I have seen a lot of the mummy bags, however, they look like they would be uncomfortable? Any insights on a good quality bag and support IE: ...

I am looking for a down sleeping bag and a hammock. I know this is not the most detailed listing, but basically what I am looking for is a good down sleeping bag with a 30* rating or lower (I sleep very cold) and a good hiking hammock to see how I like hanging. Thanks

I appreciate the info and I will read the forums but I don't know anyone who has a hammock thats why I was hoping to find someone who is looking to sale a used one so I can see how I like it before I buy a good one (buy good I mean the full system I have been thinking about). Same thing with the down bag. If anyone has either they are looking to sale please let me know.

I think it's realy cool that these guys are doing a road trip with the cougar. I always wanted to take mine cross country. Also nice that the car can be 'visited' by former owners and friends. If you pass through Santa Cruz Simon let me know, I'll buy you guys some beers. Travel safely!
