I have the power options set to "Sleep" when the lid is closed. Sometimes I have to run and pop the still-on but presumably Sleeping computer in my backpack. When I take it out it's extremely hot. Is this normal? Is it not sleeping properly?

We never get to the HP icon without having to hit the F2 button several times and waking it up and putting it to sleep. We have been trying to fix this for days and have turned off everything that had to do with sleep mode in the setting locations. 1 person needs an answer I do too

When i close my laptop on the login screen, it goes into this sleep mode. This is damn annoying, because I use it for SSH and other stuff when I am in school. Before I leave home, I turn on the computer, and close it. Result: I can't access it. It didn't happen in earlier versions of Ubuntu, and doesn't happen after login. How can I fix this?

ORB 2.510032 will not wake computer from sleep mode. All BIOS settings are set to allow. Other programs wake it, as will moving mouse, tapping keyboard, etc..

Hi Guys, I just had a DM3 with the 2.26 sp9300 intel chip built for me and every time the laptop goes to sleep and wakes up the mouse freezes up with a magnifying glass and its impossible for the mouse to do anything. I just got windows 7 ultimate,i was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to keep a wireless conection online while in sleep mode and after awake. RIght know conection keeps going while in sleep mode but after wake up and resuming windows it disconects and reconnects. Is there any way to keep it online all the time? i have a laptop and its on "High Performance" in the Power Options.
