Hello all, I have a client who would like to put cedar siding on a huge slab of concrete, which now serves as a deck for her. The idea is to make the slab look like and extension of the house, visually speaking. Any ideas on how I would go about attatching cedar to this. I believe the concrete is solid as opposed to cinder blocks.

I just came across something interesting is Southern California called Slab City. Perform any internet search on Slab City and you'll find plenty of information. I've included a wikipedia link below Slab City - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Camping at Slab City is boondocking since there are no facilities/hookups but during the winter months there are seemingly countless inhabitants...

Had a plumber out yesterday to fix a leak in copper supply line running under the slab of my house. Said I could expect future problems and should consider repiping the house or to look into epoxy coating the interior of the piping (he doesn't do either ). The epoxy coating process is done by franchisees of AceDuraflow. Anybody have any experience with this process? Pros, cons, cost? Thanks...

By Dougald MacDonald / The Mountain World    The hardest traditional route in the world may be a slab climb. The young English climber James Pearson has climbed The Walk of Life (E12 7a) on a steep slab on the North Devon coast in southwest England. At this grade, the route must include hard 5.14 climbing with death-fall potential.  According to a report at Climbmagazine....

Hi, getting some conflicting advice from books. It's on how deep to pour a proper small slab that later will gain a brick BBQ. Ground is grey clay, we planned a sand pit to even it, then a 4 inch depth of poured cement, 4x5 size, raised so it's about 2 inches above ground (2 inches below). Area is Norfolk VA. Deep enough?

I have a question about SLC. What happens if you have SLC in a bathroom already cured, and then you have to do another room down the road, will the new pour adhere to the old pour or cause problems.
