Perhaps the Fed have skewed the process in the short term but can they prevent the eventual outcome in the end? The market is bigger then the Fed. After 911 the Fed cut rates and the market was skewed in the short term but the eventual outcome was a new low in 2002. Most traders have found it difficult to read the tea leaves as a result of Fed manipulation but can that continue forever? I don't ...

I ran windows xp service pack 2 updates last night and woke up to find the screen and fonts skewed... not sure how else to describe the effect but to say that it's a snowy effect on most everything. I did reinstall windows on Friday and everything worked fine up until the service pack 2 was installed. Internet explorer is also gone. I have tried to do a system restore but my restore point from ...

Skewed science - Full Comment "Courtillot and Jean-Louis Le Mou?l, a French geo-magneticist, and three Russian colleagues first came into climate research as outsiders four years ago. The Earth?s magnetic field responds to changes in solar output, so geomagnetic measurements are good indicators of solar activity. They thought it would be interesting to compare solar activity with climatic ...

Since Fedfans are saying that H2H is skewed because of all the clay matches, consider what the H2H would be if they met proportionally on all surfaces. Let's take Federer in 2008 (this is all very approximate, of course) Federer played 20 tournaments: 2 on grass, 5 on clay, 13 on hardcourts. So if Federer played Rafa in every single one of them, there would be 2 matches, 5 on ...
