Hi there, I would like to know does "sit ups and push ups" mean,in relation with sports, military training? Could it be like " le lever de poids"? or something more specific because the setence is " They go to the gym twice a week and do weight lifting, sit ups and push ups." How could I translate that? Help me,please! Thanks a million in advance.

I was reading Moorehouse's book Fitness in 30 minutes a week and he recommends sit-backs because he found that the hip flexors are doing all the work during the sit up? What do you think? Are those "Atlas" sit ups really that effective?

Quoting ☆ Kelz☆: ? For those of you who do sit- ups. How many do you do a day? And have you seen any results from them?? I used to to 200 a day PreP and had washboard abs no joke but if you were just trying to tighten up PostP you could do 100 but I will say build up to that amout dont just try to start out that high you will most likly strain your muscles

They won't mess with your knees or hip flexors as long as you bend at the spine and don't keep a straight back. I like doing these too after I finish my workout, I add a little functionality and work the obliques more by throwing a straight punch to alternating sides at the top.
