My copy of Halo:CE has a demo for Halo 2. Its a pre-retail, really rough version of the Halo 2 level New Mombosa Streets. (Not sure on the name. Not too important) Anyways, The Chief is using a battle riffle with a single shot action. It sounds really cool and was super powerful and long range. Any speculation as to maybe THIS being the new BR?

Mickey has been offered a part to star in the new movie that is going to be directed by David Jacobson. Here is part of the article. An open casting call has been issued by the newly formed Film Institute of Northern Ontario, which is looking to put together a database of actors for future projects, as well as an upcoming feature by American director David Jacobson. Jacobson was the writer...

Should fit a 12 ga & .243 with no problems. May fit other calbers as well. $75 in Jasper or Dawsonville tomorrow or in Gainesville Saturday mornin. Thanks, Mingo

Ive been looking at a Rossi single shot rifle in .223 for a cheap gun to take camping. Fit an finish doesn't seem as good as the H&R singles, but they lock up just as tight and feel pretty solid. I like the fact that they have a hammer block safety. Plus you can get a nice carry case for it. Are these guns any good? Im not expecting much for the price, but as long as they are ...

> someone I know is trying to settle up an estate and while cleaning out the old house they found a pocket knife gun ( the house has been in the family since the mid 1800's) it looks like a typical stainless steel pocket knife except for the one end has a small steel block that flips up to hold a .22 short, there is a little lever that you pull up which cocks the ...

What is the best field use single shot 12 ga ever made? There do seem to be some old guns that are well designed quality shotguns. I decided I should just decide on a model and start working on picking one up. If I am going to comb the used bin, what should I look for? The more I think about it the more I agree the gun should be hammerless. There seem to be some Baikals on gun ...

Please excuse this long trip down memory lane, but the single shot thread in Shotgun Opinions made me do it. When I was 12 my dad came home with a 20 gauge Mossberg bolt action shotgun. Even though it was used the Mossberg looked new to my wide eyes. It was then that I was told that I could buy myself a shotgun when I had saved enough money. This coming from a man who refuse to let me buy a BB...

How to delete both hidden (. dot files) and regular files available in a directory in a single shot (just one pass instead of two rm commands)? The following are not helping: Code: rm .* (or) rm \.* (or) rm .??* (or) rm *

...i am definetly NOT a supporter of the "single shot trick" to "simulate" an HDR looking; but in certain situation i think it might help. ...so i did my very first serious attempt with this technique. Generally i merge and tone in Photomatix, but, this time i found that the whole processing in PS4 was much more better (mostly cause in Photomatix the noise effect was really huge!)....

Question for the forum: Mississippi changed their Primitive Weapons criteria for this hunting season and going forward. They now allow a hunter to use a Single Shot – Breach Loaded – Exposed Hammer .38 Cartridge or larger the kind and type manufactured prior to 1900. I don’t want to spend a lot of money, but I would like to get an inline rifle that meets these requirements. I know H&R makes ...

If you can find an old Winchester Model 37, they are pretty nice. Single shots were typically beginners' guns, but some beginners are different than other beginners.

Posted by: BOB570 Posted by: Iggyhopper But the carbine is not as versatile as the BR and it's ammo count is seriously bad. Do you really think they are going to make a single shot BR which is just as powerful as a Carbine and holds 36 bullets? You'd never run out. Also, what is it that makes the BR more versatile? Hmm, could it be the 3 shot burst? (Hint: the answer is yes) Slap a BR ...

Thanks everyone, I ended up getting the youth .22lr/.410 matched pair. Dick's had them on sale for $149 and I couldn't pass it up. I figure a 410 slug or buckshot will be just as adequte for close range critter defense as a .223 would have been. The sights on the .22lr barrel are actually pretty nice! Fiber optic and fully adjustable....
