It has now been 35 years since the murder of American trade unionist Karen Silkwood (pictured). Silkwood was working at a plutonium processing plant and was killed in a mysterious car crash on her way to deliver important documents to a newspaper reporter. She had been working on health and safety issues at the plant. She was 28 years old when she died. ...

This has got to be my second or third favourite Meryl film depending on how I'm feeling lol. I love Meryl singing Amazing Grace at the end but it's sooo sad. What are everyone elses thoughts on it? New Blog: http://littlealiinwonderland.blogspot.com/

Three gens in my family who enjoy Meryl. I've liked about 50% of her films. Did not care for Adaptation, have no interest in Ironweed, Kramer vs Kramer, Heartburn. Out of Africa is one of my favorites, (also enjoy most of Pollock's films). Silkwood is excellent as is Sophie's Choice. Jule and Julia was fair, but not as entertaining as The Devil Wears Prada, Doubt or Mamma Mia. ...

Was this recently or a long time ago, because I have seen many interviews with Meryl, but never one in which this topic was raised? The movie was made 26 years ago, so did she comment on it at around that time or later? "Details of your incompetence do not interest me"!

Silkwood The Hurricane Ray Erin Brockovich Wyatt Earp (Not as fun as Tombstone, but more accurate) Honorable mention to Tyson. I know this is a documentary, but so compelling, I feel like I should bring it up. __________________ Mitsubishi WD-65732 Pioneer Elite...

I love how everything was so lovely and peaceful until it got to Julie and Julia. I shall see Julie and Julia today. I keep hearing either she was the best she's been in awhile or horrid. I'd personally give Streep her third Oscar for Silkwood. But after that the only time she comes close is for Adaptation and Bridges of Madison County. And those spots go to Zeta-Jones and Shue. I wouldn't ...
