I am trying to plan a trip in Sicily and the Aeolian Islands for about 4 weeks. We will probably fly in to Palermo and spend a few days, then perhaps visit Cefalu or I have read somewhere I could ferry to Lipari from there and then ferry back to Messina. My father-in-law and I are going to Sicily/Amalfi/Rome in March. We are flying out of PMO to Naples. Our flight is scheduled for 8:45. Does anyone know if the rent-a-car places will allow an early drop-off? Also, what is the airport like? It seems pretty small so we wouldn't have to be there really early. Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?
