I have a programmable shunt, placed 2 1/2 yrs ago after a ruptured aneurysm. I had 2 ventriculostomy tubes in for about 3 weeks while I was in the hosptial (apparently I removed one of them myself) but they missed the fact that quite a bit of fluid had built up on my brain while I was in rehab and it was a bit of an emergency when they put me back in the hospital and put in the shunt. I have had ...

Confusion has set in big time . After ICP monitoring and readings between 4 and -21 we decided to change my shunt valve to a programmable one, that was back in August. Finding the right setting is proving difficult and has highlighted a problem with my maxillary and ethmoid sinuses ( I have never been an allergic, hay feverish person) but in the last couple of years I have been exhausted at ...

Okay I took Ethan to the Doctors yesterday and they had me take him to the hospital for a CT and Shunt Series (which is alot of x-rays). They said everything came back that the shunt was fine but they did see some extra fluid around the shunt which could be from sinuses they said..........Then I got a call today the doctor said the CT showed that Ethan could be having seizures. They are going ...

Well, our Riley is really sick. She had a blood transfusion last night, and they found infection in her urine, blood and shunt today. They are removing the shunt (again) tonight. It's pretty serious. I've been reading your old posts Cheri about all of Kyles issues. There are alot of similarities. It give me hope that as bad as it get's you can somehow make it through. It's so scary. I'll ...

So, I had Luna bile acid tested along with a urinalysis for her crystals. The after serum was high, 35 with a norm of 25 I think. The vet is going to call the lab to verify and see if that indicates a shunt even though the dog is fine and had normal pre-food values. He also mentioned the crystals are more common in a shunt dog. He said we will probably have to have an ultrasound done to verify (...

My son Ethan has been grabbing his head where the shunt is and saying, "mommy my boo-boo hurts" He is always grabbing the shunt area. He has been running a bit of a fever and has been very fatigue. His eyes are staying blood shot. What I am wanting to know is if this sounds like something that is going on with the shunt or not? I really don't want to take a 3 hour drive with all the kids ...

Or more like toddler carrier help! I know there are quite a few of you that are more experienced than me. I wasn't able to wear Cameron very much due to the shunt that he had on his heart as a newborn. The shunt isn't there anymore, so I can wear him upright just fine. Lately, he is NOT feeling well and is wanting to be carried all the time. I'm fine with that, but I do need to get some ...

To any BMW GS riders, it's worth checking that the paralever A-arm pivot bolts are the correct type of shear bolt. I posted a thread about a slow speed shunt I had on Friday and how it caused serious damage to the bike. http://www.biker.ie/forum/showthread.php?t=97432 Well the reason for all my damage is quite simple. The A-Arm pivot should be held in place with a ...

I removed these 620ti calipers complete along with both front suspension strut assemblies from a 43,000 mile example which suffered a rear end shunt. These Calipers were removed and kept on my "come in handy one day" basis. Following a recent clear up during house alterations, I discovered another pair in my pit..... These are thus surplus and have been taking up space in my garage ever since....

Hello Everyone! I was born with hydrocephalus and immediately had a shunt put in. I had to have a shunt replacement when I was 7 but my shunt has been okay ever since! (knock on wood!) I had a gran mal when I was 12 and was then diagnosed with epilepsy. I was stable with taking Neurontin after the first gran mal so in high school the dr told me to get off of meds because I was ...

I made the mistake of letting someone have a go with my rig yesterday, and as it was the first time he'd played it, he promptly drove up the track the wrong way after a shunt. He got DQ'd, but when we got out, rFactor fined me DOUBLE what my credit was, so it put me a long way into negative figures!!! What gives? And more to the point, apart from letting him have a go with my profile again, ...
