I was sitting in my room before tea and had the follow ideas about the factory shocks; Can these be rebuilt with different valves, or even overhauled so to speak? Also can they be shortened up to go with a lowering spring so you don't lose out on the suspension travel? I was just wondering if it was possible as I have a set sitting in my garage and can't imagine there is a huge market ...

Im looking for some rear shocks to purchase ASAP as my girlfriend is currently in the UK but only for only a few more weeks and im in NZL So im just trying to work out who i get them from and what ones. im hoping you guys can point me in the rite direction on what shocks to purchase. These items have been on my truck for less than 3k miles! They are almost as good as new. Bilstein 5100 series adjustable front shocks (0-2'' of front lift). They are currently set for 1'' of lift. Air shocks? I know nothing about air shocks. My friend bought an s10 and it has them in the back. Do they lower the truck or just used to make it sit higher if you increase the psi? Thanks

I have a re 1600 trackbar with new ends and two bilstien 5125 shocks,travel 11.94,valving255/70,extended29.70,collapsed1791 will sell for $65.00 and $75.00 for the trackbar I bought the wrong size shocks they are brand new , noticed they were wrong size after I cut the boot off

To all of you Up Country gurus, we have a '96 with Up Country suspension. It needs new shocks, as, I'm guessing it may still have the originals, at more than 150k miles. It has the funky upside-down ones on it. Can they be replaced with normal XJ shocks, or are they actually a little longer? I got under it, and fully extended, the rears are just about 21" fron bar pin to center of bottom bushing....

sti shocks im wondering if my shocks need replacing i used to own a car that had the rear shocks gone and it sat quite high i sold it to a garage and they replaced the shocks then the car sat lower now i have a 1998 Sti and it seems to sit high it has a bit of a bumpy ride but has 18's on but if the shocks ...

QA1 rear shocks Did anyone see a negative to putting the QA1 rear shocks on? I have run them at the track and they don't seem to have helped... Has anyone else thought the same things?
