You are SOL, however, its worth getting on your own, its a great addition to the game.  If I remember correctly, an island appears in the main river, around Kavatch, it has a big portal on it and a guardian.  So load up the game, explore the area.  Or just load up the game and check the download section, if it shows that you have it, you have it.
