Hello All, My first bike was a 1970 Kaw 500 Triple; a 1973 Z1 900 and moved up to the 1980 Z1300. I have (3) and (4) spare engines. I always have had Kawasakis. One is totally original - like a museum piece - had it since new. I wanted to radicalize (modernize) one of the others. One downside of the Z1300 is the monstrous diffential in the back with the shaft that limits the wheel rim ...

ok so I lifted my truck with the SOA, TT Twist, Body Lift... and the other day I was mud boggin and my drive shaft slipped out (at the flex point) and hit the ground... I reinstalled it but I was wondering if there is like a drive shaft extension that fits between the differentail and the drive shaft or the transfer casing and the drive shaft? If anyone knows something like this please let me ...

Does it matter how I put drive shaft on? Took rear axle out to have rebuilt because of a bad bearing. I originally marked the yoke and drive shaft with marker to match up during install, but the shop power washed the axle to remove grease/grim. Now there is no mark. Can I just pop it in? I noticed weights welded on yoke and ...

Hey all, I am after a ZF 3HP22 Transmission (for an '88 505 GTi Auto), hopefully also with drive shaft. Could potentially take on a wreck with a good transmission within the Brisbane area for the right price. I can be contacted on email at dan@makinghey.com . Many thanks, Dan

After lifting your jeep what is the best way to lessen the front drive shaft angle? And when people super lift their jeeps what do they do with the front drive shaft? Last but not least; how much can you tilt your front axle to help with front drive shaft angle before you get into the danger zone? Thanks

Ran into a problem today. I went and bought a new drive shaft for my 2001.5 A4 1.8T. Seems autozone game me the wrong one. I think this is due to the mid year shift to the 170HP motor. Now what I am wondering is if anyone else has run into this? Is there another year that is the same? Damn audi for making 50 different drive shafts over 10 years. Basically the knuckle side of mine was ...

Yesterday as I was packing up to head for home from the cabin I noticed that the rubber boot located between the shaft and final drive had pulled out of the final drive housing just a little at the top exposing about a 1/4" gap between the boot and housing. I have no idea how long it has been this way. I reseated it and came on home. Should I be concerned that I've allowed water into the ...

The bmw and motoguzzi have engineered a clever way to neutralize the torque induced rise and fall of the frame. This is just a characteristic of straight drive shafts that is not a concern as long as you do not cut the throttle or down shift in a corner as the downward motion of the frame drops the food peg into the pavement, unloads the rear tire which steps out. You are lucky to lowside as...
